Tucker Family Reunion Dear Family Members: I trust that all had a wonderful and joyous Holiday Christmas (Holyday). Now that’s behind us, now we must begin planning for our next Family Reunion. We will be going back to our roots as we descend upon the city of Little Rock . But, before we go forward, let’s take a monument to look back. What can be said about the wonderful job done by our family members in Omaha ? WOW! This small group of family members, faced with the uncertainties of finance and attendants, rolled up their sleeves and pull off what many said, “Could not be done!” Their determination and dedication should serve as examples to all. The accommodations; food; entertainment; and the entire atmosphere of the event was simple excellent. My heartfelt thanks; to Kathy, Sharon, Rogers and all of the family members who assisted them, for a job wonderfully done. Especially, considering the many obstacles they faced. It is my understanding the family in Arkansas have already began to prepare for our arrival in 2009. A committee has been formed, plans are being made and the excitement is high. In that regard, our intent is for this reunion to be inclusive of every family member, so if you have an idea or a thought with reference to the upcoming reunion, feel free to submit them to Jan Jeffrey, the Committee Chair or Deborah Cooley, Business Manager. As a reminder, the deadline for family dues was changed to December 31, 2008. This change was necessary to facilitate planning process. If you have ever been a part of planning for one of our reunions, you understand what a nerve wrecking experience it is when you don’t know how many families will attend until the last minute. With that thought in mind, I ask when information is disseminated to you that you respond in timely manner. Again, this is crucial for planning purposes. I thank you for the opportunity to serve as your president for the 2009 Tucker Family Reunion and I solicit your prayers and your support.
Sincerely, W. Jerol Crawford |
